INT. BAKERY – DAY
A small, charming bakery. The air is sweet with the scent of baked goods. On the counter, a glass display case holds a variety of colorful treats. Among them, the MICKY DOUGHNUTS stand out, with their chocolate chip “ears.”
A young, mischievous kid named MILO stands on his hind legs, peering at the doughnuts. His eyes are wide with longing.
MILO (Whispering to himself) Oh, Micky doughnuts… so beautiful. So… delicious.
An old, kind-looking BAKER with a friendly smile notices Milo at the counter.
BAKER Well, hello there, little fella. You’ve got a sweet tooth, I see.
Milo nods eagerly, his gaze never leaving the doughnuts. He digs into his pocket and pulls out a shiny coin.
MILO (Pleading) One Micky doughnut, please.
The Baker chuckles softly.
BAKER I’m sorry, little one, but I can’t sell you a doughnut. You’re still a kid, and kids don’t go about spending money on their own.
Milo’s ears droop in disappointment. He shakes his head and gestures at the coin, as if to say, “But I have the money!” The Baker gently shakes his head no.
Milo turns and dashes out of the bakery, his heart heavy.
INT. MASTER’S HOUSE – DAY
A moment later, Milo is back in his master’s house. He frantically searches for more coins. He finds a few more, his eyes lighting up with renewed determination.
MILO (to himself) I will get that doughnut!
INT. BAKERY – DAY
Milo returns to the bakery, a determined look on his face. He places the new coins on the counter with a triumphant grin.
MILO, now I have enough!
The Baker looks at the pile of coins, then at Milo’s determined face, and his heart softens.
BAKER I’m sorry, little one, but the answer is still no. However, I’ll make you a deal.
Milo’s ears perk up.
BAKER If you take these coins back to your master and ask him to come here, I’ll gladly sell him a Micky doughnut.
Milo’s eyes widen in understanding. He scoops up the coins, nods thankfully at the Baker, and races off.
INT. BAKERY – LATER
Milo returns to the bakery, this time with a tall, kind-looking man—MILO’S MASTER.
The Baker smiles and hands the Master a freshly baked Micky doughnut. The Master pays, then looks down at Milo, who is practically vibrating with joy.
The Master takes a big bite of the doughnut. He looks at Milo, then takes another, smaller bite, before breaking off a piece and offering it to Milo.
Milo’s eyes light up. He takes the piece and eats it with pure bliss. As he savors the sweet treat, he looks up at his Master, and then back at the half-eaten doughnut, understanding that the joy of a shared treat is even better than having it all to himself.
