In a quiet village called Farm Land Valley, life was simple. The villagers had always relied on natural seeds passed down from their ancestors. But one day, a mysterious sorcerer arrived, claiming to possess magical knowledge that could revolutionize their farming.

The sorcerer met with the village chief and boasted of his ability to enhance seeds using powerful artificial chemicals. “These modified seeds,” he said, “will produce harvests ten times greater than any you’ve seen. If you convince the farmers to use them, I will reward you with special seeds that never run out.”

Tempted by the promise of prosperity, the village chief agreed. He gathered the villagers and urged them to destroy their old seeds and replace them with the sorcerer’s new ones.

Most farmers eagerly obeyed, enchanted by the vision of abundance. But one farmer, a humble and thoughtful man named Mr. Afro, refused. “Why do we need these new seeds?” he asked. “What are they called?”

The sorcerer smiled and replied, “They are GMO seeds—genetically modified to end hunger and ensure a constant supply. You’ll never need to search for seeds again; just come to me each season.”

The farmers cheered, placing their trust in the sorcerer. But Mr. Afro remained unconvinced. His natural seeds had been in his family for generations, and he saw no reason to abandon them.

While the others planted the GMO seeds, Mr. Afro quietly held on to his own. As harvest approached, the farmers who used the new seeds rejoiced—they had abundant crops. But their joy was short-lived. The seeds could not reproduce. Every season, they had to return to the sorcerer to replenish their supplies. He grew rich, and the farmers grew dependent.

Meanwhile, Mr. Afro’s harvest was poor. His crops were ravaged by pests and stolen by bandits. Eventually, he discovered the shocking truth—the sorcerer had conjured the pests and sent the thieves to sabotage his fields.

Determined not to give in, Mr. Afro devised a plan. He created a natural spray from a mix of organic vegetables and water and used it on his fields the following season. The concoction proved powerful—it repelled the sorcerer’s magic, and his crops thrived.

At harvest, Mr. Afro’s farm overflowed with food, and more importantly, he had thousands of natural seeds to replant. Season after season, while the other farmers suffered under the sorcerer’s control, Mr. Afro remained free and prosperous.

Eventually, the sorcerer grew angry and stopped selling seeds to the farmers, punishing them for questioning his power. Desperate and hungry, they turned to Mr. Afro for help.

Instead of turning them away, Mr. Afro shared his seeds and taught them how to grow crops naturally once again. The village slowly returned to its roots, and with unity and wisdom, they drove the sorcerer out for good.

The villagers, now free and flourishing, asked Mr. Afro, “How did you survive when the rest of us failed? What was your secret?”

He smiled and replied, “The secret of the seed is in the seed itself—and its maker is God Almighty.”

The village head advised the villagers that it is important to say “no” at times.

The End.
